Calanchi

Open-air museum

Wild, evocative, carved by time and weather.

Calanchi of Romagna are hills characterized by erosion of the surface layers of the soil, made by water flowing on clay rocks with a poor vegetation cover.

Unique setting

Calanchi mean this: grooves carved along the side of a mountain or a hill like sharp drains, arranged in groups of small valleys that then flow into larger beds.

A veritable open-air natural museum where the veins in the ground generate irregular movements of matter. Where the eye is lost in contemplation of a unique setting.
